PICTURE OF THE WEEK

CHIEF ME-GEE-SEE

Last week in Ashland, Wis., to the tune of a few whoops, a blare from cornets and the stomp of Indian moccasins, the Chicago Tribune's Publisher Robert McCormick (above) got a hearty endorsement from some original Americans. He was made a chief of the Chippewas and named "Me-Gee-See" which means In Chippewa "the Eagle, the Strong One, the One of Courage."
