Susan's love is swimming
At 17, Susan Ruskin is one of the most charming teenagers' we've ever met.
With her dark brown hair and large brown eyes, she's very striking, with the figure of a model! For her age, she's tall, 5 ft. 8 ins., and this is probably why she often seems to have the charm and dignity that usually belong to a much older person.
She was very excited when, the other day, she was invited by a film director to watch a day's shooting on the set. Susan went to Beaconsfield Studios, and confided afterwards: "I'd love to be an actress."
A secretary, Susan lives in Broxbourne in Hertfordshire, and travels up to London each day. "I love living in the country and working in town," she says. "It's the perfect combination."
Susan has a weakness for clothes and we could hardly believe it when she told us that two large wardrobes only just accommodate her current collection. That's pretty good going for a 17-year-old! She adds: "Mummy is a darling and helps me out when I'm hard up!"
Among Susan’s hobbies is collecting records, " anything from Bach to Boogie", and she also loves dancing and singing, for which she has won several awards.
Her first love, however, is swimming, and she says firmly: "I would like to marry when I am 20 and have four boys, every one of them a champion swimmer."
