We had a record entry for our Desert Island Discs Competition in our October 2 issue
MRS. F. JONES, Islington, London, N.I, sent in the list which was closest to the order of popularity, as shown by the majority vote. To her goes the wonderful FIRST PRIZE of a DYNATRON RADIO-GRAMOPHONE , valued at over £200 (about $558.00)?.
Mrs. Jones chose "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning as the first song on her list; and the reason she gave for her choice was: "On being discharged from hospital after many weeks, my nurse remarked, 'Oh, what a beautiful morning for your home-going'."
Mrs. Jones' order of preference for the 12 records was 1, 5, 12, 6, 8, 4, 9, 10 .

There were eight fourth prize winners, who will each receive an H.M.Y. 4-SPEED ELECTRIC AUTO·GRAM, valued at over ) £28 (about $78.12)?; and 50 consolation prize winners who will each receive £5 (about $13.95)? to buy records.
There were three third prizewinners: Mrs. C. H. Taylor, Belfast, N.I., Mrs. L. J. Neads, Clevedon, Somerset, and Mrs. B. Ginnis, Letchworth, Herts., who each receive a PYE SUPER BLACK BOX, valued at over £60 (about $167.40)?,
