EXCUSE ME
ACTUALLY, I don't take much notice. . .
I pay no attention to what they're doing
(there's always something to set them mewing)
So while they debate how the world is run
I wash my face and enjoy the sun.
What if the news is quite appalling.
Can we alter a thing by caterwauling ?-. . .
After a time one learns to ignore
The constitutional backyard bore.
AS A MATTER OF FACT, I don't listen. . .
Let somebody get a few extra lights
And they yackety-yack about equal rights.
They argue and lay down the law
And thump the fence with an angry paw.
But down in the barn the mice are fat
And  I THINK I caught just a whiff of rat . . .
If I listened to all their stupid chatter
I'd have no time for the things that matter.
