OUR Special Patterns are always designed to put the latest fashions within your reach, and this one is no exception.
It's a sure-fire version of the summer's gayest idea: the "little girl" playsuit which, with the aid of its own matching skirt, can be turned into a sun frock.
The playsuit has a low-cut bodice, shaped in the front and bare at the back, for maximum tanning. The straps tie in a halter. The bloomer part is so full that it looks almost like a bouffant short skirt, doing marvellous things for broad hips and plump thighs.
The skirt is just a generous piece of fabric, folded into soft pleats and attached to a waistband. It wraps round you most becomingly. Naturally, you can wear it with different tops. Ours looks splendid with a white towelling jumper, for example.
We made up this outfit in pink and white striped cotton, a real winner for a clear, fresh effect. The use of horizontal and vertical stripes cleverly emphasizes the cut and moulding of the bodice. Bright colours and crisp designs always make a hit against the vast background of sky and sea. The playsuit is lined throughout so that it can be worn without any under garments, if you wish.

The bloomers are threaded with elastic and will fit snugly round your thighs. And, of course, the skirt's so easy a child could make it.
