Harper’s Bazaar May 1951 Page 130/131

Schiaparelli
Visconti
Schiaparelli designs an evening dress, opposite, in plum and cyclamen silk organdie, a heavenly pair of colors for a fairs-kinned brunette. The bodice of the dress is plum, slashed deep at either side, and the plum skirt, all pleats, is lifted high
in front and doubled up to the sash forming a peplum and revealing the cyclamen shaft beneath. To order at Bergdorf Goodman.

Simonetta Visconti, below, the Roman couturiere (in private life she is the Duchessa Simonetta Colonna di Cesaro), poses for the Bazaar in a dress of her own design, two dresses in fact. As shown, it's a full-length evening dress; unwrap the ruby silk faille apron and it's a short dinner sheath of beautiful black lace. To order at Bergdorf Goodman.
