HEADACHE?..
How and why ANADIN gives you the power to stop pain so fast!
QUICK ABSORPTION-'Anadin' Tablets disintegrate immediately they enter the stomach. Within thirty seconds of entering the blood stream they start reducing the sensitivity of the 'nerve exchange' at the base of the skull.
IMMEDIATE RELIEF-First to get to work is the pure aspirin-well-known for its quick action and power to make the 'nerve exchange' less sensitive.
LONG-TERM RELIEF-Then Phenacetin in 'Anadin' acts next, greatly prolonging the beneficial effects of the aspirin.
SENSE OF WELL-BEING-Pain nearly always brings depression and a 'low feeling'. But 'Anadin' includes Caffeine with a trace of Quinine to exert a 'tonic' effect and induce an immediate feeling of wellbeing. Pain goes and you fell on top of the world.

A Smooth Martini requires a smooth American Gin_like Fleischmann’s
"That's the smoothest Martini I ever tasted - believe me, I'm using FLEISCHMANN'S GIN from now on"

Fleischmann's is an American Gin distilled from American grains. . . from an American formula. . . for American tastes and drinking customs. . . by an American company.

"I thought my children were faddy-until I changed to McDougall’s"
'When I made a pie, they'd leave all the pastry and it was easy to see what they thought of my cakes! Then my grocer advised me  to try McDougall's. McDougall's Self-Raising flour is made from the finest wheats obtainable and its superb quality never varies because every batch is carefully tested in McDougall's own kitchens on honest-to-goodness puddings, cakes and pies. JANE CHEDDAR'S COOKERY CORNER
Give them a main meal made with cheese
THERE'S MORE PROTEIN IN IT THAN IN ANY OTHER FOOD!
Never hesitate to give your family a main dish made with cheese. For sheer bodybuilding goodness you couldn't do better. Some people forget that cheese is the richest source of
that valuable protein we all need so much. There's more protein in every bite of cheese than in any other food in the world! It's got plenty of important *calcium in it, too. And doesn't cheese taste good! Either just as it is or cooked. I've yet to meet the man, woman or child who could resist it.
There are countless exciting recipes for cheese dishes. (If you're wanting some new ideas perhaps you'd like to write for an interesting little Recipe Booklet put out by the Cheese Bureau. Just send a card to the Cheese Bureau, Recipe Booklet, 40 Berkeley Sq., London W.l.) Yet some of the most popular dishes are old favourites made a new way-like the New Macaroni Cheese recipe opposite. It's a winner! And, while I'm talking about cheese, here's something to remember: it's a good habit to, put cheese on the table with every meal. On the Continent they have it even at breakfast! With cheese every day, your family's really well-fed.
*230 mg. of calcium in every once, plus more vital protein than in any other food!
An old favourite made a new way- they'll love this new macaroni cheese. Remember, however you give it to them- in omelets, souffles or sauces---cheese is all body-building goodness.
(click image to enlarge image and view recipe)
Cheese Tips 1. Choose crumbly Cheddar to mate cheese sauce. It's the easiest to grate -and it's good even when it's a bit dry. 2. Over a low gas melt 1 oz. butler; stir in 1 oz. flour. Add 1 pint of milk all at once. Bring to the boil and whisk! Then season -and add grated cheese. 3. Sprinkle plenty of grated cheese over the top before toasting to make it extra appetising.
